Description
When I first saw this snowflake, I didn't know what it was. It looked like a circle of white dots - I couldn't see the center of the snowflake at first. It is absolutely amazing that this snowflake landed intact without breaking. The outer rimed tips are so much heavier than the fragile center. A gentle bump into another snowflake should have been enough to break it to pieces.
Photographed January 10, 2016 in Utah's Wasatch Mountains.
