About Silvia Ganora
NOTE TO BUYERS: The Fine Art America watermark will NOT appear on any products you buy. In my works I always strive to convey what I 'saw' in the images I captured with my camera, be it a certain mood, light or color. I like not to stick to a particular style or subject, even though I have some preferences for abstract and architectural details. The digital darkroom is the place where I love experimenting, sometimes enhancing my 'vision' with the use of textures or muted colors, sometimes stripping away all the color to bring it down to a strong black and white simplicity. My images are available to purchase as rights managed and royalty free stock photography for creative and editorial projects. Please visit my portfolio at...

Silvia, you give us a glimpse into a world where art and beauty are celebrated on the streets .. what a beautiful image ... from the gently weather beaten wall and peeling painted shutters to the glorious, vibrant tiles to the crisp newness of the blue street lamp ... everything fits, everything works ... This is just a typical example of the extraordinary beauty of Italian street architecture. People think of Rome, Florence, Venice etc and of course those cities are incredible marvels bu actually even ordinary towns and cities are just amazing for their traditional architecture. For instance, last year my wife and I went to visit a friend in a village near Varese. Both in the large town of Varese and in the villages nearby, you would see many streets and walls as beautiful or nearly as beautiful as this. These towns and villages are just absolutely ordinary in Italy, yet the street architecture and decorations all look like they were meant to be remembered by painters! I don't think there is another country in the world like this! FAVE!!
