Gorgeous, gorgeous Silvia ... I love the textures and sense of time gone by ... but it's the hint of the vivid ceramic(?) colors at the top that is such a wonderful, magical surprise!!! Congratulations on your sale!!!

Silvia, you give us a glimpse into a world where art and beauty are celebrated on the streets .. what a beautiful image ... from the gently weather beaten wall and peeling painted shutters to the glorious, vibrant tiles to the crisp newness of the blue street lamp ... everything fits, everything works ... WOW!!!!! f/v

This is just a typical example of the extraordinary beauty of Italian street architecture. People think of Rome, Florence, Venice etc and of course those cities are incredible marvels bu actually even ordinary towns and cities are just amazing for their traditional architecture. For instance, last year my wife and I went to visit a friend in a village near Varese. Both in the large town of Varese and in the villages nearby, you would see many streets and walls as beautiful or nearly as beautiful as this. These towns and villages are just absolutely ordinary in Italy, yet the street architecture and decorations all look like they were meant to be remembered by painters! I don't think there is another country in the world like this! FAVE!!

Silvia Ganora replied:

Many thanks for your beautiful comment. Glad to hear you had the chance to visit Italy. Hope to see you soon here again! :)
