Description
Apparently this is a no-name inlet south of Red Bay on the Huron Shore of the Bruce Peninsula. It is one of those secret, out-of-the way places where plein air artists can paint in peace. The point of land to the left used to be called Dobneys but the Lumbs have been there since postwar and the name has slowly transformed to Lumbs Point. The Lumbs live there full time battered by the westerlies, snowed over and in and storm-stayed. Like me they love the weather. It is so unusual to find peace and quiet, space to park and to paint. This part of the Bruce Coast is, thank the Earth Goddess, relatively undiscovered.
